Unicorns are peaceful herbivores that typically grow to be around three feet, or 91 centimeters, at the shoulder. They feed mainly on berries, mushrooms, grass, and lichen. They’re shy creatures but will use their sharp horn to defend themselves if necessary. They have intelligence similar to that of a dog and are just as playful with their herd mates.
Winged unicorns are a rare genetic mutation that, as the name implies, grants unicorns the ability to fly. Winged unicorns are omnivorous and will scavenge carcasses and hunt smaller animals. They tend to be bigger, smarter, and a bit more aggressive than their non winged counterparts.
Wild unicorns can be found in any environment, other than the ocean, and have colors similar to their environment, ei. monotone/alpine and mountains, earthy tones/forest, sandy tones/desert ect. The most colorful part of them is typically their eyes, horn, and mouth.
Domestic unicorns are far more colorful overall, with vivid patterns and eye-catching fur. This happens naturally in as little as two generations when removed from the wild. It’s believed to be due to the lack of predation.
Unicorns are in high demand in the medical and food industries due to their purifying capabilities. A touch can flush out toxins in the body, clean water of bacteria and parasites, and remove bacteria and rot from food. However, this ability can only be performed by a living unicorn and only when they wish to do so.
Unicorn fur is also popular in the clothing industry due its velvety soft feel.
