I just like these greens and oranges okay?!!?!!
Considering giving all the heirs that weird eye tear thing. They call it a Grief Mark and some think it represents all that was lost during the end of the world. It's usually just discoloration or a bare spot in fur, running from the outside corner of an eye downwards. It can occur on multiple eyes or not at all. Occasionally it's made of metal.
Also. The illusion of lore for some of these items!
The hood on the feathered goat???? to the far left is probably accidentally copied from somewhere. More recent place I saw it was on the character of Keyhole from Reflection.
Then a kobold? and bunny! I was considering alternatives to ties and human earrings and I had the Inspired Idea of making a lace choker that goes up to clip-on earrings. Probably only feasible for people who don't emote much.
Below them, I doodled a human(?) and some synths with one of the standard body plans. Exact eye shape and whether synth draw mouths / other images is mostly a cultural thing. Some cultures even like to have eyes painted on the head plating itself instead of just having a pattern. Also note that, while the exact shape of emotive flags varies greatly by individual, most synth have them as a sign of courtesy & openness.
Also, regarding eyes / emotive screens: most Synth have either white projection over colored plating, or colored lines on a black screen. Founders always have black or colored pupils on white sclera. Heirs can do whatever but almost never have white sclera.
Collars with tags like on the two vaguelly dog-shaped heirs can be spiritually significant.
The collar on Dog A is studded with lots of gold tags. Representing "ownership by / loyalty to many", it's a symbol of commitment to community and helping the society from within. Usually seen on religious staff. Some religions prescribe matching collars instead of rings for married couples, usually with a single tag each to symbolize "loyalty to one and only one" or some monogamous nonsense.
The collar on Dog B is studded with spikes. It's a symbol of fighting to change society from the outside, a reminder that those who make the rules don't always care who those rules are holding back. It's caught on in aro-ace circles, punk circles, and aro-ace punk circles. Also Dog B has snoot spikes, because when you're a furry who's been genetically modified to accept large amounts of cybernetic modification, your capacity for fun piercings is SO HIGH.
