ohh does that cake retain its alcohol or do you boil most of it off
....I really don't get why people drink Rum ..i tasted some that i was about to use and my brain went OMG SPIT IT OUT SPIT IT OUT NOW! ....so i spat it down the drain and then my tongue was numb / tingly for a few mins ..it was weird

rum is made from sugar its a sweet liqueur just has to be iced or altered for newbies. and no my recipe doesn't boil off the tequila. that would be a travesty.

the rum i used was the cheap stuff ..silas googled it and one link said that some people use it as a cleaning agent
oddly enough the cake was still amazingly good :3

well to let you in on a secret using the cheap stuff in cakes is what every9one does since the flavor comes through fine. also the Castillo rum is the same as captain Morgan really they are made in the same distillery. just like coffee liqueur is really all the same. Vodka you can tell the difference but the most expensive is not always the best.
Gah darling if you were using stuff strong enough to clean with must have been 151. its the proof that makes it useful to clean with. not the quality.
