The Southern Ash forest and it's "clan" tends to be discussed as something of a contemporary legend. To some, a haven for villains and exiles. Those who are oft to be sought, those who prefer not to be found, and those who have no place amongst their own for numerous reasons. Their leader, Garjan is, himself, an exiled son of Elder Argan of the Western Elm.

Even still, those who have set foot in the Southern Ash and those who have crossed Garjan's path rarely have anything but praise for the way they were treated, dragon and human alike. Garjan's name carried respect even in circles at bitter odds with one another, but it wasn't respect that was demanded. It was respect that had been earned in one way or another, different for everyone it seemed.

It almost went without saying that Garjan was a force of charisma, and not the type of dragon to cross, though none could exactly describe why.
