A mouthful of human male was one of the simple pleasures in the life of the Elder Earth Dragon, Cain, especially when it was stripped and squirming for all it was worth. As with most humans, it wasn't worth much, but THIS particular puny, pathetic primate's muffled protests and constant wriggling brought a smirk to the dragon's typically scowling muzzle. It wasn't about the flavor, nor the food, appreciated as both always were. Instead, this morsel was about the principle of the matter: humans were food to dragons. Regardless of their station, their achievements, their talents... THIS was always to be the end result, as nature had always intended.
With a lazy toss of his head, the great brown tossed the mage Danathius to the back of his jaws, giving the stripped and saliva slick sorcerer a single powerful gulp to pull him down his gullet towards that caustic, pitch black pit below. He'd give a snort as that little bulge vanished down his broad neck, disappearing into his bulk. No doubt the little thing would use his magics to figure a way to survive, as he tended to do. But a point had to be made.

Tallion who you should absolutely check out. This particular piece was a raffle win of 
dan_aers who decided on this piece, and I couldn't be happier to be included.
Tallion is doing a ton of 3d work these days and is just killing it there. But his 2d stuff will eternally be my favorite, and this is probably in the top 2 of pieces he's done of my old brown <3

Despite the obvious emphasis on internal structure of maw which is made delightfully accurate and very detailed I also can praise a piece of text supporting it as well... Maybe even equally as art itself
We all need to remember while Cain can be witty but he also a force to be reckoned with and can be short tempered and cruel. And he sees fear, violence and rudeness of his actions as instruments of his dominance and sending a message for all who will be foolish enough to cross his path with this absolute menace of a dragon
And I have to say for the most part he is successful - legends and words spread like a fire in his presence and infamy of his actions can be heard everywhere which meaythe message is clear
Though I see his little "game" with Dan like something more than a simple act of malice. Yes he wants to prove his point even to such humans that reached particular heights and glory to be on their place but I still think their... "relationships" are quite special. Almost to the point of "the villain that cannot live without hero"
