Heya!
I recently felt like drawing Pokémon in my style again and when I asked someone for a Pokémon of their choice, they mentioned Cubone and I figured - true! What a cute little dude that is deserving so much more love and attention if you keep his tragic PokéDex entry and story in mind. So I started sketching and came out with a lovely sketch I wanted to finish.
While I may or may not have made Cubone a little less chibi-ish and adorable as it actually is, I wanted to draw it in my style and put more emphasis on details like scales or the bone structure of his skull mask or cane. I had a lot of fun colouring Cubone with brushmarkers and adding details with coloured pencils. I yet again find it fascinating how powerful this combination is as it leads to quite some interesting effects! Besides, I'm very proud of how well I can work my way around colours still with markers. It feels like my understanding on how these tools and the different shades of colours work is ever improving/increasing. But what are your thoughts? Would you go on an adventure with Cubone? He sure looks like he'd like to march right by your side!
