So I've been working on redesigning an old Hazbin Hotel OC of mine.
Their proper new reference sheet is still in the work, got stuff I'm still adding to it, but I'm really wanting to share what I have done so far.

To all who don't know this: https://www.deviantart.com/starhowl.....C-Ni-822924991 is their old design. As you can see I kept some their old attributes, and yes they will still have an anthro-wolf form that will be shown off in their ref when I post it.
I have given them a humanoid form, given them a proper name (scrapped their old "name" entirely), tweaked their design, and given them a new back story from when they were alive along with giving them a new backstory of what they've kinda been up to in hell and how long they've been there.
These details will all be laid out in the reference sheet descriptions when they eventually go up.

Smog is also, unsurprisingly, getting a new fanfic. WOOO!
The old HH fic with them in it only ever got 2 and a half chapters ever written (only 1 was posted on AO3), but I am scrapping that entirely now too.
Once the story goes up I'll make sure to add a link to it to each of my posts of new artwork of Smog. For anyone curious, I plan for this story to be a slow burn & slow to update story. I don't want to give myself writer's burn out and have this be other fic I end up scrapping because I tried to rush myself for no fucking reason.
And for anyone curious...I am an Alastor simp so that will come in to play at some point in the story. BUT DONT FREAK OUT... I have Smog as a Demisexual Panromantic with kind of an avoidance to love due to bad past experiences with romantic relationship / just a shitty past overall makes them weary or entirely clueless to such things, so anything that happens between them and Al I'm gonna try to write it as a very slow burn but probably a bit of fluff. Smog is very much a hardass type of character at times who's secretly quite broken deep down. How would they get along with Alastor? Well, they are trying to climb their way up to being an overlord in hell...and they are very much still evil so they'll be fiiiiiiiinne...probably.

What I'm really trying to say is their relationship isn't gonna be just some jumping right in to suddenly being attracted to each other and then just endless chapter of Al being OOC just so I can ship him with Smog like a tumblr sexy man. It's mostly like gonna start out as a shaky friendship -> these assholes start to get along together -> Smog maybe realizes they kinda like-like Alastor but refuse to admit it -> maybe Alastor catches on or just kinda starts feeling the same-ish or just wants to give the whole relationship thing a try -> Alastor starts courting Smog (because y'know...he's a gentleman like that) -> Smog, being a straight up oblivious dumbass to such things, doesn't realize what's happening and just keeps reacting "Oh cool! thanks buddy" basically. -> Folks keep questioning Smog about what's the deal with them and Al probably, and they just continuously KEEP SHRUGGING IT OFF...this'll sadly go on until their 2 best friends (other OCs of mine) point out what's obviously going on. -> Smog panicking ensues as they try to figure out if they're right about them being courted, Alastor is actually just being a good friend, or if he's actually fucking with them.
It basically just all spirals till one of them just says something to the other finally.

Anyways, this image will be fitting into the fic at some point once it's up. I hope peeps are actually looking forward to it. If not...that's cool too. This is all really just for me anyways self indulging in my hyperfixation with the Hazbin Hotel series.
