Ah, the hapless hero Don Quixote. Had some fun interactions with him, being trepidatious about allowing me to pass but complementing my politeness as I entered the faire and again at the end of the day saying he was glad he didn’t have to slay me (if I had really been on my quick improv, I should have gone Princess Bride and reply “It would have been a shame to have to die.”)
I did mention I knew a friend Don Coyote that he should meet. I am only slightly ashamed that there was a cartoon in the 90’s “The Adventures of Don Coyote and Sancho Panda” that I watched without being aware of the source material it was referencing for several year after.
