On February 26, 1992, the most monstrous tragedy occurred in the history of the people of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis in general. In the city of Khojaly, Armenian armed forces killed civilians.
For Azerbaijan, the beginning of the 90s was marked by a severe test. First, on January 20, 1990, Soviet forces brutally suppressed protesters in Baku. And then two years later, in the territory occupied by Armenian military personnel, where the city of Khojaly is located, women and children were brutally killed by Armenian military personnel. All these events became a serious wound on the body of the Azerbaijani people.
As the memory of this horrific event continues to weigh heavily on our hearts, we pay tribute to the victims and reaffirm our unwavering support for the people and government of Azerbaijan.
Such crimes cannot be forgotten, we remember this and must talk about it so that such crimes are not committed in the future. Any murder of any person is impossible in a normal society. This is something we have zero patience for.
Tatars mourn with you. Because we are united by both language and faith.

The most tragic thing is that they are still Turks who deny that Armenian genocide had ever happened, as well as some Armenians who believe that their nation has been always "innocent" and has never murdered anyone. All crimes should be spoken of, as any nation is burdened
It must be said that Khojaly is not the only crime of Armenian nationalists (not Armenians, but Armenian nationalists, I have no hatred for Armenians) against Muslims. In the 20s, Dashnaks (Armenian national communists) made their mark in Central Asia. The Bolsheviks first used them to pacify the Basmachi (who rebelled against Soviet power), but later everything got out of control, and the Dashnaks began to slaughter all Muslims, both Turks and non-Turks in the person of Tajiks, Persians, etc.
I agree.
Unfortunately Europe still has huge bias on the Christian side (for obvious political reasons)... I have seen recently a video saying "who remembers yet the Armenian genocide?", but than I can ask as well: "who remembers the Circassian genocide committed by Russians and why I have ever barely seen any video concerning that topic?"...
Unfortunately, in any forgotten case there can be found an even more neglected and forgotten one...

Well, or the genocide of the Bashkirs on January 24, 1736.
In particular, one of the perpetrators was the notorious Tevkelev. He is considered the founder of the city of Chelyabinsk; they say they even wanted to erect a monument in his honor in this city. Which caused discontent from Bashkortostan.
I heard that Islamophobic sentiments are on the rise in Europe now. At least I heard about it on the news. For example, in Scandinavia, activists set fire to the Koran, thereby expressing dissatisfaction with the growth of Islam. Correct me if anything is wrong.

Well, to be honest, I cannot attest what exactly is happening in Scandinavia. I do not live there, neither I have any acquaintance from that side of the world;
As for my birthplace (Poland) there is indeed unfortunately a fair amount of islamophobic people, as well as whole throngs of antisemits (I have already fed up with brainless people claiming that Jews are the cause of all the bad things on earth and that Polish government is, allegedly, comprised mostly of Jews). But of course let's not exagerrate too, at least the majority of young people here is rather opened and tolerant towards other opinions and faiths. : )

Well, that's an event I haven't heard about. By the way, it's not very publicised, especially officially. I'm curious. By the way, a friend who asked me to photoshop the Kazan coat of arms on public ground transport has already written his 39-page screenplay about Zilant in a few months, contrary to the originally conceived 34 pages. Yeah, so you see.
And yes, he hilariously dislikes and doesn't recognise the winged leopard, doesn't look at things with him and tries not to take him on much. Zilant in his opinion is a real Tatar symbol with a long history, well that's how he thinks in general. That's why he wears only a patch on his cap in the form of the Kazan flag with a serpent on it. Thank you for appreciating my creativity, maybe it will grow into something more.
Also, he adores Zilant for the reason that it gave him a reminder of his ancestors from Kazan, his roots and his interest in culture, cuisine and all things Tatar.
