I was commissioned by JamesBingDaddy to draw whatever I wanted again.
So I chose to do another Ratcula piece.
While trapped in Ratcula's castle, Princess Anna's only escape is through her dreams where she meets Basil Van Helsing. But...is it really a dream or some sort of purgatory?

Princess Anna could tell that he was a tall mouse. But she still couldn't see him clearly. The only thing that seemed to stand out was a broad long muzzle, his slim figure, and a simple white tunic with long loose sleeves. "Please sir, could you come into the light? So I can be sure that you are not a... a... monster..." she asked, still hidden behind the tree.
Wordlessly, the figure slowly steps out of the shadows, and little by little reveals himself. His white tunic is half open, leaving the top of his chest and fur exposed, along with dark trousers. What was especially striking was his face, and his attention grabbing green eyes. As he looked upon her, his gaze went from suspicion to earnest curiosity.
Anna's eyes widened as she recognized this stranger. He was not someone who she spoke to before or even seen in the crowd at court. No, he was the same person that she had seen from his portrait in Ratcula's castle. The same person who was listed in the history books. It was King Basil, leader of the ancient and long extinct Van Helsing clan. "This is impossible..." she whispered. And in this moment she knew that she just had to be dreaming. Slowly, the princess also stepped out from behind the tree and into the moonlight, her long green and gold dress trailing behind her. "I... I know you."
