Ive been lost in these woods for as long as I can remember… I roam the trails hoping someone, anyone, will come find me… I duck between the trees chasing shadow’s. But the shadow’s are fleeting. Light filters through the leaves and I stop to bask in it. But eventually the light fades, and only darkness surrounds me… the nights are long. The air is cold and biting and I long for the warmth of another. But it never comes… the nights drag on until eventually the light returns and I continue down my lonely path. Sometimes I find travelers, glimmers of hope, and I run to their side. They are welcoming and they offer to help me find my way. But as I follow the darkness begins to close in, and as I lose the light they fade from my view… I’m lost once more in the woods. These dark winding woods… I wonder if I’ll ever find my way. Wonder if I’ll ever find my way to you… I wonder if you even exist… I hope I’ll find you soon…
