Pear! In her iconic Pear costume, no less!
I feel you are being a little too hard on your character here:
if anything, that momentarily hesitant, but alert and anxious look
tells the viewer that the rata is in the middle of earnestly performing
some serious task that strains the physical and psychological faculties alike!
The "no thoughts, head empty" joking description would better suit
a character zoned out on the sofa after having been watching TV
or browsing their laptop for several hours in a row.
Pear is cool!

Oh, my! There are some real crimes against kitchen in there!
The ones I loved the most where the Sushi Pizza,
the Burger Fondue, the Jumbo Hotdog, and the Gargantuan Croissant with M&M's!
When the first international space exploration mission begins.
there will be fifty sleek, slender, chrome, black and white
spaceships representing various nations,
and a giant Rainbow Borg Cube representing Brazil.
And somehow, it would perform better than the rest!

GIANT RAINBOW BORG CUBE I'm laughing/crying with that, it's soooooo accurate! My mind even added some Carnival allegories!
What I miss most, being a vegetarian, is eating the Jumbo Hotdog on the streets. I can make them at home with soy sausage or find them in some speciality places, but the trashy sensation of eating something from a mini van with dubious hygiene protocols is unique. Fortunately corn still exists.

My guilty regretful pleasure is shawarma, which is one of the most popular street foods
here in Evil Canada, and they are also sold from kiosks and minivans and whatnot.
Can't walk past one of those vendors without drooling, much to my dismay.
I've since discovered falafel wraps, which taste just as a good,
but they aren't as common as the shawarmas.
π½π½π½ Hurray for corn! π½π½π½
And as for carnivalizing space, I imagine that future astronauts
will have a lot of fun projecting movies unto the dark sides
of asteroids, and cutting various messages onto the surface
with lasers!

EVIL CANADA sorry I laughed loud xD
Shawarma is sooo good, same for falafel! Here in SΓ£o Paulo it is sold in some restaurants some big and expensive, some small and popular; several of them, but not all, run by immigrants and even refugees. It is sooo good. Hummus. Tahini. Help.
About Western Asian food in Brazil, fun fact - very predictably, we made with sfihas the same we made with pizzas: all toppings and no rules.
π½Corn is love, corn is lifeπ½. 99% of the corn I meet is the yellow sweet common one, but fortunately we still have colorful corn available, mainly in a big Bolivian regular fair in the city. I loooooove it!
I'm pretty sure Brazilian projections in space will offend some aliens, in a very Douglas Adams-like plot...

Much obliged for the brief tour of the Western Asia foods you have available!
Too bad about the prices, but maybe those will get better after the local
migrant communities grow and branch out more!
Hummus is really cool, as is all that kitchen magic
that the Levantine cuisines do with the various beans and chickpeas!
Learned about tahini and sfihas from you today, thank you again!
And you have those rainbow corn type? Awesome!
I keep guessing if it's real when I see all those glass gem corn photos.
I can imagine entire planetoids and moons getting covered
in PelΓ© and Ronaldo space graffiti!

Oh, some prices are already affordable actually! There is Levantine cuisine for all here!
It is not that rainbow corn (that exists and it's beautiful), but some blue corn, red corn, and other types of yellow corn too.
Oh, judging from SΓ£o Paulo graffiti scene alone, the space graffiti would me amazing! Great idea!

Well, the colored corn not widespread; we can find them in some specific markets, mainly thanks to the organization of local Bolivian community. And the vendors are also very kind and willing to explain about the different types of corn and their uses! There are also beautiful crafts there. It is one of my favorite places of the city.
