Funny, I completely forgot to post this piece I did last month.
So yup, this is closer to the type of art I do IRL. Quite different from what I usually post on this page, but now you know what I'm up to. Would you like to see more of this type of stuff in the future?
This was a 40 minutes study/speed painting I did based on the following picture during a stream (by Justin Croteau judging by the style, but I can't be sure): https://www.pinterest.fr/pin/375346950204194697/
The goal for me wasn't to simply do a copy of the original, but rather to understand the artist's use of composition, color and values and try to recreate something in the same vein. Some key rules for a good practice: no zooming in, and no color picking from the original art so you can train you eye.

I've recheck the recording and yes, approximately 40 minutes. Now keep in mind it's mainly a study: I use a reference (I struggle otherwise to do environments), I only got the main color/value ideas (if you zoom in nothing is detailed and polished), I've been doing this type of exercise for some years and my job requires me to work fast. And I'm using photoshop: I'd have no clue how to do this with a traditional paints!
And in any case it's not a race: everybody has its own pace! ^^
