Good example of Dealanach whn he;s walking the streets. He uses spray-on makeup to cover his scars and tattoos, for those curious. Anyhoo, here's a little vignette of the stuff Duncan deals with in
thecanidean's Las Torres.

"Hey."
Officer Hernandez looked up from her IPad, the bat frowning quizzically at her Malinois colleague. Officer Barrett nodded out the right window of the patrol car, a frown across her canine features.
"Check out the punk over there. Ain't seen him round here before."
Hernandez followed her gaze, and whistled softly.
"Me neither. Kind of cute."
"Real cute," Barrett said. "That look like a beer can to you that he's got?"
Hernandez squinted. "No, looks like a coke..."
She paused, seeing the sly grin spreading across Barett's lips. Hernandez shook her head.
"Joanna, you're a disgrace to the uniform."
"Oh c'mon, it's not like we're gonna book him. Never know, might be able to get his number. Besides, this is the Chen Triad's area, and he's sure as hell not triad. Guy deserves a warning."
"Oh, boy, here we go..."
~
Duncan stood with his hands in his pockets and giving the police officers his full attention. He had long ago learned that the best way to deal with a stop-and-search was to be casual but respectful.
"Now I can see that it's a Coke can," The malinois officer continued, "but please make sure that's all it is. I'd hate to have to pull you in on a Saturday night, okay?"
Duncan could feel her eyes on his body, and shifted his posture in just the right way. He didn't smile, but he kept his gaze on hers.
"Sure thing, officer."
The other officer, the bat, had been running his ID. She came back from the car wearing an expression somewhere between disbelief and amusement. Duncan watched as she tapped her colleague on the shoulder, and put an Ipad in front of her.
Officer Barrett swallowed, then looked up at him.
"Apologies for wasting your time sir, we'll be on our way."
Duncan grinned easily. "No worries, officer. Anytime you two need a hand, you know who to call."
He flashed her a wink, and saw her cheeks flush.
~
Hernandez giggled all the way back to the precinct.
"Chica, you should've seen that tail of yours when I showed you that Ipad. Ain't seen you that shook since you forgot to file that case report, the one about the mayor's girlfriend."
Barrett's face flushed a deeper shade of red. "How the hell was I supposed to know he was FBI? He looks way too young!"
Hernandez shrugged. "21 Jump Street, I guess."
"...Ah, you're probably right." Barrett huffed, scanning the horizon. "...Did his file have his number on it?"
"Joanna!"
