I definitely see an improvement in your work, for starters, the tails are starting from the end of the spine.

I like the lighter touch with shading and coloring, but I think you really need to concentrate on lighting coherence because your background is lit as if from the distance in front of the viewer, meanwhile both characters seem to have been lit from the left hand side.

I think the feet on the armadillo could perhaps do with a little tweaking, the visible one should be more of a wedge shape and the disappearing one should actually show more. Also I'd raise the upper buttock of the Armadillo up her body, currently it's a little low.

I definitely like that most of the hands are being shown. The male's arms are fairly good width wise, but you feel back into your habit of overly skinny arms on the Armadillo.

I do notice that they're look more solid this time around, especially the male's head. That said, I think you could have pushed this a bit further, the composition isn't as good as it could be and the background (yay for backgrounds) is a little on the bland side, perhaps some more colors on the hills/in the grass and some cloud work in the sky could make it pop more and provide visual interest.

The issue with backgrounds is that the commissioners don't usually pay for them. They are not included in my $40 commissions, which is what this is. The simple versions like this are... freebies so to speak. I suppose I might as well start including backgrounds in with the prices and up them. I'm trying to balance what I can consider an "intensive" background and a "simple" background. Does that make sense?

The lighting looks much better and you do seem to have added interest to the background which it was lacking before. :)

So the dillo has a ponytail, but no hair on her head?

'Tis what her reference image had. I don't question character design, I just draw it, lul.
