Oh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy, I love you so.
And when you come, and all the flowers are dying
If I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me
And all my grave shall warm and sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.
The twins go and visit Anik's place of rest. Luna hasn't been back here since he passed and found that she could only go if her brother was there next to her. Though it had been years since she had placed the stones surrounding her love, the cairn stood firm along with the scarf he wore.
I wanted to do something different for this scene so I did everything on one layer and painted it instead of doing my usual style. I'm pleasantly surprised by how fun it was to just let loose and paint.
