I was looking through my old USB drives today mostly because OCD kinda bullshit
and I came across a shitload of old art I did years ago. There's not too many of them and most of them are too god awfully ugly to even want to be posted(most actually got posted here) but I liked this one enough to post.
Coming across my old art makes me a bit sad, because I used to just delete them right off my computer and never back them up. Even the PNG of them, but often the PSDs mostly. I might have the opposite problem now; I never under any circumstances delete my PSDS anymore.
The commissions PSDS eventually get moved to a USB and deleted my from my PC but my own artwork, the PSDS will never be deleted and I often OCD back them up on USBS now because of when my PC died in 2019 and I lost all my art before it was thankfully recovered.
Most of this artwork was posted on a old ass Facebook page that no longer exists because someone I used to purchase animal hides from reported it because it was under a fake name, and FB terminated. Most of this art is lost to time, as I never even saved it. Which is probably fine; because I can't be upset and have a OCD fit over art I don't remember existing.
I wish I could enjoy coming across my old art like this. For some reason it just fills me with dread and anxiety and some strange OCD of denial some of my art is forever gone. Someone I used to be friends with told me it sounds like I have a inability to let go of things I can't hold on to, when they're already gone(breaking items, accidentally destroying or losing art, ect). I do think that is accurate.
Anyways I won't name the commissioner because they used their real name and I don't think their ACC even exists anymore. This was drawn in 2017! I was only 17 then. I remember commissions back then were like 15-30$ lol. I feel a bit nastolgic for how bad my art was back then, but I think this was when I got better at shading grass. Most of anything about commissions I got from this era I remember is the BGS. I sold a lot of commissions for that price back in the day but that would be way too low to be profitable to me at all.
mostly i miss the anthro pinups! those were the most fun.
Ahh blahlalblah new era new me. Maybe one day I can reminisce about things in the past I can't "go back to" even if I wanted too without feeling empty.
