Funny huge image here. For a while now I've been wanting to, but never got to this where I wanted to draw the stages and alterations of my Mewthree, Mewblade. One of the things I like about her fighting capacity is her level of adaptability, and the way her body will physically portray such things.
On this sheet, there is the "Normal" default body shaping and the rest are generally alternates. From left to right:
Baby/Child: Technically at the start of "Death, Decisions, and Destiny" Mewblade is full grown at 11 1/2 months old. So these two shapes are more like stages during her growth cycle in the tank. Now the baby is super cute, and chubby and very Mew-like, and gosh, I want one! Although the child stage shows off her "blading" (basically her blades grew in slowly and severly damaged her skin) and her first of many heart surgeries. As a child, she was a failure of a specimen.
Steel Wing/MetalClaw/Iron Tail: Is the usual arsenal of moves that Mewblade will use when taking to her Steel type traits (thought her metal is titanium).
Bulk Up: This is often used for pure physical combat or an attempt to increase her defense, but at times Mewblade will perform this skill mostly to protect her skeleton. (She just looks so oddly masculine like this, and really any Mewtwo base looks weird with this much muscle.)
Normal: She keeps an even muscle mass and utilizing no special moves. Although what is defined as her normal is often with energy, so she moves a bit differently without it or under alteration. Normally she moves relatively lightly.
Agility: This move reduces Mewblade's muscle mass and overall bulk. (She will use Steel Wing and bleed herself to lower her weight further if she has to.) She moves faster, pivots tighter, and will usually resort to Agility in physical combat when her enemy has lower defense and is faster than she is.
No Energy/Passive: In normal circumstances Mewblade can dull and flatten her blades to avoid injurying others. On the other hand, if she runs out of energy the blades refuse to stay sharp. This depiction is a bit misleading, as when she is sad and defensive, her blades are often very sharp and erect.
Chaos Bond "Chaos Mewblade": This is the most famous alternate "look" to Mewblade, which is the form she takes when she bonds with the energy, Chaos. The look is purely a shell, so Chaos does not actually change her, just conceals Mewblade.
Fun thing to play around with, and show some things I've never depicted before. Hopefully this gives people an idea of the annoying amounts of versatility I have to deal with when it comes to my beloved Mewthree.
