Sketched it in Macromedia fireworks, then I colored and shaded it, and as for the background, I used 2 ir 3 different layers, one main one and a few transparent layers with different textures and gradients. Then I exported it into Photoshop to add the glowy effects. Because I am crazy for glow effects.
