That's splendid to hear, I like your youthful enthusiasm, I expect great things from you! I'm looking forward to seeing where your future with us will take you.”

Meet Auberon Kingswood III, owner and founder of Avalon Sweets, one of the biggest candy companies that creates high quality sweet confections and snacks for those hungry pokémen with a sweet tooth.

He was raised in a very conservative noble family. By the age of ten, his father had already arranged for him to marry another noblewoman to keep the family's blood “unsullied”. Despite his frail exterior, Auberon refused to be subjugated to his father's archaic ways. He rebelled against him, and came out in front of his entire family and their closest friends at fourteen when they were celebrating his father's birthday. Ashamed by Auberon's “deviant and warped” proclamations, his father sent him overseas with his other “liberal” members of his family. Auberon took this “mock exile” as a way to reinvent himself and become someone proud of himself. With his studious aptitude, his interest in business making and his sharp wit, he started to sow the seeds for what would become his future company when he was a senior in highschool.

Once in college, despite the fact that he was steadily growing as a businessman, he felt he needed to present himself as an imposing force that not even his father would be able to snuff out with his own influence, and that also included the fact that he wanted to grow stronger than him, so he decided to join a gym. Being his first time at such a location, the Xerneas found himself overwhelmed by all the numerous exercise machines. His lack of physical strength and stamina also made him the mockery of the many buff patrons of such establishments. Still, he refused to give up, and that's how he met him, a big Zacian who seemed interested in him. At first, Auberon thought the aspiring bodybuilder wanted to make fun of him, and tried to avoid him at all costs whenever he approached him. But after he noticed the other gym goers stopped their bullying, and the Zacian had stopped approaching him, he figured the young athlete had something to do with it

Auberon knew the big Zacian had quite the respect from some of the senior gym members despite being so young, but instead of feeling grateful, Auberon felt angry at the fact that he was “being taken care of”. He had promised himself to be able to come out on his own, and he didn't see the Zacian’s act as kindness. One day at the lockers, Auberon confronted the Zacian, he made him know he didn't need his help proving who he was and what he could do. The Zacian let out a hearty laugh and told him he was right about him, he had that “spark” in him. He went ahead and introduced himself as Ferruccio, and told him he wanted him to be his training partner, completely ignoring Auberon's earlier lashing out.

Auberon could never imagine himself forming a relationship with such a “simpleminded brute”, but he found Ferruccio’s straightforwardness and honesty very refreshing and when he wasn't studying and expanding his business, he was looking forward to spend more time with Ferruccio at the gym. With the Zacian's encouragement and tutelage, Auberon started seeing the fruit of their labor as his body continued to grow from a frail booksmart academic to that of a real athlete. And he wanted more.

Things wouldn't be so simple though, the more time they spent together, the more they started to feel for the other one. Knowing that Ferruccio was a “deviant” like him, should've given Auberon the incentive to make a move, but knowing he still had a long way to go to reach his goal, he felt that perhaps an intimate relationship would put a wrench in his plans. Lots of things were left unsaid between them as they drifted apart, Auberon knew that perhaps he hurt Ferruccio with this choice, but he also knew that perhaps one day they would meet again, so he kept on training over and over hoping to impress Ferruccio. And when that time finally came, he did make and impression on him alright.
