EDIT! HA! This shot was chosen as a daily deviation on Deviant Art XD

Not me riding! Went snowboarding for the first time in 6/7 years this weekend. Oh how I missed it! I wont be going back for park and pipe like I used to...well maybe pipe, lol, but I AM definitely going back to take pics. This is one I got today. Youll be seeing a lot more of these from me.
This is a step up gap at Mammoth mountain Unbound Terrain Park.
What I did: only basic raw tweaks with landscape camera calibration setting, and unsharp mask with (100%, 0.2, 0).

Ah, well I learned to be persistent very quickly. I always want to be the best as fast as I can at the things I do, especially early on. When it comes to photography, especially when the shot you want takes precise timing/precision/etc, you just gotta take as many shots as you think it takes...and then some more to be safe. I took a TON of shots in this one spot hoping one would work out. I got lucky XD
Yep, used a UV filter (as always and especially since I was shooting into the sun in the snow), and a polarizer. I dont mind keeping the vignetting, its SOOO commonplace in extreme sport photography from the near constant use of fisheye lenses that it really doesnt bother me and I kinda like it now XD
Eh XD I make more doing what I already do at my day job than I would unless I was among the very best photographers. Now, I am looking very seriously at getting into action sports photography as a part time home business on the side for a little extra cash. Would make a lot of nice tax write offs, good vacations, and such. Im looking now into the process to start up the personal home business now.
XD Eh, dont be so sure. There is a lot of room for failure. My ace in the hole is that I have a very solid paying job in the mean time, so even if it doesnt happen for a long time, Ill still be in good shape. My survival doesnt depend on the success of this plan. If it takes a while, it takes a while and Ill still be fine. Hard to fail when you have those kinds of odds...its just a question of how long XD
Thanks ^^ Actually, I had to put an edit in the description. Over AC weekend this shot was chosen as a daily deviation on Deviant Art. Completely blew me away XD
I'm glad you like it though. I'm still pretty new to it all so I'm still learning, and comments like this help keep me going!
