That's right, they invented a machine gun before their first service rifle!
The MG-1 was put into mass production in 2075 AF (After Founding) as the first standard true machine gun as like our and other universes Maxim it didn't need to be cranked in order to fire the gun.
The MG-1 was part of the reason the crossbow was eventually replaced by proper rifles as it was shown that large amounts of advanced guns and their ammo could be produced easily and as the sheer power of the MG-1 and the advent of exploding bullets finally allowed the replacement of the crossbow and its exploding blots which had prevented the adoption of rifles before as soldiers wanted their explosive projectiles still.
The MG-1.1 had the sights upgraded to what's seen in the drawing (earlier versions had their sights upgraded as well) and was made entirely of Steele which made it both lighter and more durable. The only downsides were Steele's increased time to produce and it having to be painted which both weren't taken as downsides by the Shavekans due to them already taking production so slow already and due to them already painting all of their weapons to begin with.
Trianfulls (Shavekan Standards) were made and shipped to fight in The Great Southern War in 2991 AF to aid the Federal Union under Robert E. Lee (It's a somewhat long story including him getting Leed) which was fighting the Confederacy (a collection of whats basically ethnostates) again. This time the Confederates were destroyed and their states dissolved after the Battle of Montgomery.
Both versions would also serve during and after Shaveka's aid to the other Earth (the Changes series Earth) as they made even more to help fight off invading Aliens comprised mainly of Space Bedsheets and Space British Rebels.
The normal SR (non k versions) versions share the same ammo with the MG-1 and MG-1.1
The drawing here was made in-universe by Dosa who took effort to record information on their free time on their minicomputer (Dosa/Dubs as they can be referred by 2 different names as their 2 heads with 2 different minds working together.) One of the things they took interest were the new weapons being created or were created recently. This was made in 2985 (Until I decide otherwise and potentially retcon the times as I'm not completely sure of the timespan yet.)
This one here I partly based off of some of the Maxims/PM1910s serving in the Ukraine/Russian War. SO yes it's not unrealistic to have a stock, advanced sights, and a suppressor on a Maxim.
