“By the stars, what do I get him, what do I GET him?!” Kippa was pacing back in forth in his humanistic dragon appearance, his, well, thoughts, dancing around his head, trying to come up with something. With him was his friend from the G.R.O.W. labs, Adolisx, the little colorful Avali sitting on the couch. Why he had to wait until he got here to start worrying, Kippa wasn't sure, but the sudden thought had crossed him when Adolisx had mentioned getting his wife something for Valentine's only for Kippa to realize he had not gotten anything for Galos.

“You know, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you're overthinking it,” Adolisx said with the most laid back tone he'd ever managed to pull off around Kippa, who spun around on one foot to face Adolisx with his eyeless face (brought to you by Kippa's mop hair!).

“How can you say I'm overthinking? I'm UNDER-thinking if anything!” Kippa's arms were thrown down, as if that was enough to sway Adolisx, who just shook his head, and waved an arm.

“I mean, what do you think he'd want?”

“I don't know,” Kippa answered the question with. “I mean, I've already given him immortality, well, mostly, it's like ours just, without the coming back after dying thing.”

“So, endless lifespan basically,” Adolisx said, doing his best to follow along.

“I've never seen him eat, so I can't even begin to guess what kind of food I could even get him, he can already create entire galaxies, star systems, and maybe even universes, I haven't seen him do it, I just guess, and to top it all off, he can already grow as big as he wants without so much as breaking a sweat!” Kippa had been pacing while listing all that off, so when he finished, he whirled back around to the Avali. “How do you give something to someone like THAT?!” Adolisx brought a hand to scratch at his chin, as he began to think of the best way to describe to Kippa what he could do, before realizing that this wouldn't be that hard at all. He pointed to Kippa's collar, which he knew all about.

“What makes that collar special to you?” He asked to Kippa, who looked down at the collar and felt it.

“It was a gift. From Star. You know that.” Adolisx shook his head to Kippa's answer.

“That's not what I asked. I asked you what makes it special to you.” Kippa began to have to think about that, wondering what exactly he wanted him to say, before remembering his lessons from Star, and just saying what came to heart.

“The fact that he didn't need to get me anything, yet he still did, just to prove that he cared when he didn't need to do that at all.” Kippa answered with full honesty, and Adolisx nodded.

“So, why not just give Galos something like that?”

“A collar?” Adolisx shook his head suddenly and with urgency.

“No no no no no, someone as dominant as Galos, from what you've told me, may not like a collar. I mean, yeah, from you it would just be a normal gift, but to Galos, he may see it differently.”

“Then what DO I get him?” He asked Adolisx, and all he did was just smile.

“Well, what kind of jewelry does he wear already?”

Kippa looked in his paws at his present, taking a deep breath, then concealing it with an astral veil that'd disguise it perfectly. He began to walk out, approaching Galos at a nice little uninhabited planet they'd found together. They'd come here together, and Kippa had kept the necklace hidden until then, but needed to get away from Galos just to look at one more time and make sure that it was perfect. He approached the larger dragon, surprisingly Galos hadn't picked that much bigger of a size than Kippa, not even standing twice his size, which was quite forgiving. However, Kippa knew how quickly and how powerful Galos’ growth was, and he was worried what Galos would do should Kippa have made a gift he didn't like. Upon exiting his little hiding spot, Galos turned to Kippa with a smile.

“So, did you finish combing your fur?” Kippa hadn't really given Galos a reason for him running off to hide, so this comment threw him off a bit, especially with the sly tone he used on him.

“N-No, I wasn't brushing myself,” Kippa answered embarrassingly. “B-But I did have something to say.”

“And what would that be?” Galos asked, looking at Kippa as he approached him. In the blink of an eye, as Kippa held his front paws out, Galos watched as a necklace appeared in his hands, a bright purple star making up the very front of it, as the tie around it was openly to the side of his paws.

“I-I-I got you… This. F-For Valentine's Day?” Kippa nervously stated, holding out the present to his lover. While Kippa was busy being an absolutely nervous wreck, Galos smiled, while looking stunned, and pointed to himself with one claw of a paw.

“You… Got me that?” Galos asked Kippa, and he just chuckled nervously, pulling the necklace back closer to him involuntarily.

“I-Its dumb, I know,” Kippa's rant started with. “I-I just thought, you know, since we were making our relationship a thing, a-and I wanted to take it seriously, I thought to myself, I should do something special for you. So I asked a friend for advice because, I didn't know what to do, I didn't know if you'd want to eat, or watch a movie, or if I should just go for a present, but he asked me, hey, does Galos wear any jewelry, and then I remembered your earring and he said I should make a necklace that you'd like and so I spent hours trying to imitate your magic to make the little star on it cause I wanted it to FEEL special instead of just BE special, but I don't even think I did it right, I-” Before Kippa's rant could go on any longer, he suddenly felt Galos’ lips meet his own. And as an even bigger shock, Galos had taken the time during Kippa's rant to suddenly increase his size by quite a large margin, and what was once a dragon barely twice his size, was now easily ten times his size. Though, Kippa was mostly shocked by the kiss. He didn't take Galos for the type to like one, but Galos was one to assert dominance and make the first move, especially if it'd surprise him. Considering he may rarely get this opportunity, Kippa just decided to go with it, and returned the energy Galos was giving from his kiss. Soon as Kippa did, he could feel Galos growing larger again. As Galos broke away, he had managed to swipe the necklace from Kippa, and threw it over his head, the necklace having been enchanted to always fit him, no matter his size, which was good considering he was now fifty times larger than Kippa was..

“First of all, I liked it, I didn't need the big story to go with it. Secondly, don't think it's dumb to get me something. I appreciate even your little gestures.”

“Aren't all my gestures little compared to you?” Kippa said as a witty remark to his comment, and was rewarded with a giggle from Galos.

“You're not wrong, but you signed up for this when you got stuck in a relationship with me.” Kippa gave Galos a smile and hugged against one of his front paws.

“I know. I didn't ignore the fine print.” Kippa and Galos embraced one another for just a short moment, before Galos broke the silence.

“Hey, sorry for not getting you anything though, I didn't realize what day it was today.” Kippa just shrugged it off.

“The gift you got me was approving mine.”
