Used a rodent as an avatar for a long time. Wow… it's really been a while… I feel old now.

Heh, it started as a joke. A buddy of mine was doing chibis, and asked if I wanted one. We made up the roo-rat avatar as a joke. On reflection, a squirrel might fit my personality better, but ah well, I like the little guy.

Actually, that's where I got the roo rat avatar from. When I started reading DMFA, I really identified with Jyrras (plus, my middle name actually is Jairus, and a lot of people mispronounced it like Jyrras), so when my buddy asked me if I wanted an avatar, I chose a roo-rat just to continue the joke. Really, it is a joke: I don't really identify with kangaroo rats, never even seen one in real life. He's a handy thing to have, and he's cute and gets into a lot of trouble, but I have troubles identifying with something furry and a tail. :B Kind of a silly thing to say on this website, but there you go.

i really love dmfa. i love reading it. one of my favorite things to read i love it so much i use to play on furcadia long long ago and do rps and and stuff so i found it long ago and loved it. i feel like I identify with Dan and Mab. and i just love Lorenda and Abel

Don't worry, it is new. I've grown a goatee/beard in the last few months, and have decided to add it to my avatar. I have to say, I prefer Jay's much more trimmed and neater version, I'll have to give it a try.
