“Callsign Kuril, what can I do for ‘ya?”

Hey internet, I return from the depth of being a university student to share some stuff I’ve dusted from the old drawing board. Introducing Zara “Kuril” Ilünakh, my sort of persona?? Idk. She’s been a longlasting OC of mine since I was given access to the internet at maybe 11-ish (who knew giving me an iPad would result in me drawing muscle mommies), and as an ode to the OC that stuck with me through my formative years, one that I could I guess look onward at and act as an extension of myself, I thought I’d give Zara a new look. She used to be more of a willowy wallflower (“Tumblr girl” tbh), damsel in distress and an attempt of being a rebel. But after going through the wringer as a teenager and now as a young adult with a somewhat new perspective, I wanted to give Zara a new story. She’s her own hero and instead of waiting for the people who weren’t going to save her in the end, she saved herself. I made her a strong, independent, witty person because that’s what I hope to be eventually. I also thought about making her an Arknights sniper OC, but we’ll see. Anyways, to completely jump away from being all cynical and sentimental, it was a lot of fun revamping and bringing to life a character that has meant the world to me and in a small sense, is a piece of me.
