BECOME MY ENCOURAGER!Hey, happy Valentine's Day everyone! I wish you to feel loved, needed, and, of course, happy 💚
And here's the thing, the old idea that I managed to draw for the date.
I remember when Encanto premiered, people around me were soon divided into two camps - those who didn't talk about Bruno, and those who cried rivers because of the song about two caterpillars in love (Dos Oruguitas). In short, I keep crying rivers and seas to this day. Because, after reading the translation of the lyrics once, I associated the two caterpillars with Sergio and Freddie, and this associaton was so powerful that my mind started to show me episodes from the story of their dramatic romance every single time I listened to the song since then.
The guys had calm and peaceful moments together too, and that was what the song inspired me to draw actually. I wanted to draw something peaceful, touching and sensual with my boys. Something simple, speaking of the technique, yet vivid. And I decided to try the collage format to avoid selecting just one idea for the drawing.
Must say that I almost got what I wanted. And it makes me feel like this experiment made sense.
The great thing is that now you can have an idea of the design of Sergio's guitar.
You can also see the bracelets on his left wrist up close: there's one protecting him from the evil eye, and one bringing him good luck.
Notice that the claw on his left hand is very short. It's because Sergio is a guitar player, and holding chords with short claws on his fret hand is more comfortable for him. At the same time, the claws on his strumming hand are long and sloped, and I think I should draw this actually one day, don't you think so? 🤔
I also made a new attempt to capture the guys' size difference, and it turned out more or less succesful.
