As geodrakes age, their crystals grow in size and spread across their bodies. The geodrake depicted above is approximately ten years of age, and already displays significantly large crystals upon its shoulders and head. These crystals may act in some way as natural armor, as well as camouflage, though they have few predators.

More geodrakes! This time, a different specimen!
The last two pictures of them have been the same juvenile drake, bearing fluorite crystals. This time, a young adult drake, bearing celestine crystals.

One of my coworkers had recently been really asking about them, so it's got me thinking of them more. They're great guys. :)
