Whisper and the Exiled (COMM by HoodedMask)
(Another Comm by HoodedMask (https://twitter.com/HoodedMask). This one depicts two of the major characters featured in my major 'Sonic the Hedgehog' story known as 'End of the Road' (which can currently be read here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/5.....ters/126538351 ). Mainly, Whisper the wolf mobian and the mysterious Exiled. Yes, I'm aware that the Exiled is from the controversial fan-game known as 'Sonic Omens', but, whatever the case, expect a lot more happening between these two tragic souls.)
"In all of his years within his cavern, working hard on the Omen of Hope, the Exiled had not known warmth or kindness. He only knew the burden of saving two worlds and the fact that time was running out. Those of C-197 counted on him. His homeworld counted on him. Though his resolve was great, the loneliness of his job was slowly getting to him. Not helping was that the one from C-197 that gave him the tools he needed for his job was treating him even more cruelly with every passing day.
Recently, as his plan neared its final phase, he had a chance meeting with another that had quite a lot of emotional baggage with her, though she at least had friends to help her with her plight. Her name was Whisper and she was among those that wound up joining him in his quest to not only end the recent scheme of Dr. Robotnik, but also help him finish the Omen of Hope. There was a lot more to it, but that's the basics on that tale.
Still, she would eventually see how badly the Exiled needed a true friend. Somebody to share his joys and sorrows with. After witnessing his boss torment him with visions of his past, Whisper knew what to do. While both hid their faces behind a mask in the name of personal security, she would be the first one to take off hers. All to assure him that everything would be alright.
While both were focused on their respective missions, this would be the start of the Exiled feeling things that he had long since missed. Chief among them...hope and happiness."
