There was a fairly long walk from home to the main area of town, the silence was broken by Octara's voice.
"Sir can I ask you a question?" she asked timidly. I simply nodded "do you hate me?"
I stopped dead in my tracts "Of course not. why? Do you think I do"?
"Then are you afraid of me?" she asked looking at the ground. There was a long silence before I spoke this time "Yes. You scare me a bit. At first I was terrified of you since you are quite literally one of my biggest fears but in the short time you have stayed with me I already feel better around you. I would be lying if I said you didn't scare me somewhat". She starred at me clearly shocked by my bluntness. Though now I had to ask her a question. "Do I scare you Octara? I doubt you asked without your own reason, so do I?" she jumped at my question. She was silent for a minute before taking a deep breath
"Yes. You stare blankly a lot and it seems like you're starring into my soul. You don't even really blink some times, you look like a mobster and I've never even been around a human before so I really don't know how to act. I'm freaking out inside and then there was the storm last night-" she began speaking faster and her eye's began to tear up as she went on. I moved closer to her causing her to stop and look at me with what I can only assume to be fear, nonetheless I reached into my pocket and offered her a handkerchief.
"You're crying so you should probably wipe your eyes. Well now we have that in the open and we can work on it together. I am sorry that I seem so blank sadly I don't show much in the way of emotions unless i'm around close friends or I have a big reaction. I'll try to work on it but i'll need your help ok? we can help each other. oh and just because i'm scared of you doesn't mean that i'm not going give it my all as your host so if you need anything just tell me alright"?
She gave an odd soft smile as she took the handkerchief "Right sir" she stood tall smiling fully now. With that the two of us resumed our trip into town. After about half an hour we arrived at the main area of the city, immediately as we arrived people began to stare at Octara and i felt her hand grab mine. I guess she didn't realize how strong her grip was but it's best if i don't say anything for both our sake's. I've dealt with enough people with anxiety to know better. "so where to first"?
