With Hero Forge I designed the young adult Rupert Bear, who meets the god Hercules.
Fanstory
The young bear Rupert set out to travel the world. As a boy he had experienced various adventures, both alone and with his friends. He decided to become stronger so that he can survive more adventures and also help good people. As the young bear moved through Greece and continued hiking in the mountains, he was soon to have a special encounter. Out of nowhere a man appeared, but not an ordinary man. This man was slightly taller and had huge muscles. He wore a robe from ancient Greek times and sandals. A laurel wreath adorned his head and he held a club. Rupert saw him and realized that despite his size and bulk, the man didn't mean to harm him. The strange man said: "Greetings Rupert Bear, I've been expecting you."
Rupert was taken aback: "How do you know me and who are you?" The man smiled and replied: "Don't you have a guess? Just say, I'm listening."
In fact, it didn't take long for Rupert to call the stranger by name. And Rupert said: "You are Heracles, better known as Hercules!" And Hercules let out an enthusiastic laugh. "I'll leave it up to you to call me by my Greek name or my Roman name. Yes, that's me." Rupert couldn't believe that he was in front of Hercules, who was a demigod with superhuman physical strength and a son of Zeus, ruler of Olympus, who had performed many heroic deeds and finally became a god after his dramatic death. And the god Hercules was now standing right in front of him. "Tell me, Hercules, why do you appear to me?" Hercules looked into Rupert's eyes and was ready to answer that question. "I have watched you and seen how many great deeds you have accomplished without superhuman strength or other powers. Only through courage, ingenuity and cooperation with friends have you overcome obstacles." said Hercules. Rupert thought briefly about his past adventures that he had experienced as a bear child and was now excited to see what the god Hercules had in store for him. "I want to make you a very special offer and give you the freedom to decide." said Hercules. Rupert was ready to listen. "Rupert, you have the potential to become a great hero. And here is my offer: I can give you height and muscle mass with just one touch. I will make you a very strong bear. You don't have to struggle, you get it in an easy and quick way." Rupert found this offer attractive. With the blessing of such a great hero, he could instantly become a strong bear. Yes, he could thereby overcome great dangers and help others. But then he reconsidered all this and told Hercules his decision. "That sounds very great, you would really give me size and muscle mass. I could really agree to that. One touch from you and then I have great strength. But I have to politely decline. I choose the hard way to get size and muscle mass, because you can only be truly proud when you've truly earned something. I definitely thank you for your offer, but I declined it."
Rupert waited to see if Hercules would get angry. But he smiled contentedly at Rupert. "I'm proud of you Rupert. I offered you an easy way, but you decided to get your muscles through training. A long time ago I also had to make a decision. I had to choose between an effortless, but short-term and morally reprehensible and an arduous but virtuous and long-term happy path in life. These paths were embodied by two women. One was happiness and the other was virtue. The first woman offered me to be spared from pain and not to have to forgo any joy , if I chose her. The other woman explained to me that the gods do not give people anything without effort and hard work. The reward for the virtuous path is honor and admiration. I chose the virtuous path a long time ago. And You have made your choice."
"I will carry out my decision. I will train and become strong." said Rupert.
Hercules was pleased with Rupert's decision.
"My young bear, continue your journey, but know that you will be under my personal protection. I know that you can handle everything yourself. But if you really need my help, then just call me. Either way, we We'll see each other again. For now, farewell." Hercules then disappeared and Rupert was alone. Hercules had definitely returned to Olympus. Rupert continued his journey, determined to train his body and become strong.
From Olympus, Hercules saw Rupert set off. Zeus walked towards Hercules. "You must have taken this young bear to your heart, my son," he said . "Yes, my father. This young bear has good qualities. He would have immediately received from me the body that should correspond to his inner strength. But he decided to become a strong bear through training. If he had accepted my offer, then I would have given him mass and strength. But I'm proud that he decided against my offer." said Hercules. "We will see how this young bear turns out, my son," said Zeus.
