I just realized I posted a bunch of sculpting WIPs for this guy, but never the finished product. So here we have the (mostly) finished Mantikora, inspired by the creature of that name in Elder Scrolls Online (see https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Mantikora for some references). It's a bit off model in some ways, in particularly on the head where the reference model has somewhat different mouth strusture as well as "only" four eyes. That wasn't nearly enough, so this fellow has a grand total of 10: 4 "reptilian" eyes facing forward, 2 on the sides (one on each), 2 facing back (on the back of the head), and the two large insect-like compound eyes. The tail spikes and the two large finger-spikes are also off-model (with the finger ones able to be turned off to just give him 4 fingers if that's preferred).
(The front leg somewhat strange proportions are to model, though. I don't think I personally would have proportioned them quite like this, but I wanted to keep that on-model at least. He has a very, very small thigh bone hidden under the skin which honestly isn't terribly useful, then a giant shin, then a large food, with some complex structure around the metatarsal and toe bones to make it all work. I did that because keeping it at least somewhat similar to real mammal bone structures makes it easier for me to wrap my mind around posing it. :) )
In the mythos of the game, these are magically / genetically created creatures meant as warriors. When sculpting this, my mindset was "Let's make this entirely a warrior. First, he needs some built-in swords, thus the hand-spikes. Second, he needs to be able to see exactly where he's swinging that weaponized tail, thus the eyes in the back of the head (not visible in this image). If I'm going to add eyes, let's also make him REALLY tough to sneak up on, so he got the small side-facing eyes. Then I just went insane and added the insectoid ones.
This is also a publicly available avatar in VRChat.
Sculpted from scratch and topologized in ZBrush. Rigged in Blender. Textured in Substance Painter. This pose and render from Daz Studio.

I don't have a pedestal placed for it, but you should be able to go to https://vrchat.com/home/avatar/avtr.....6-147b69281aee and favorite it from there.
There are still some animation and rigging improvements to be made, so it will change a bit over time.
Feel free to let me know if you notice anything wrong. The one I certainly know about is that the waist will sometimes get "stuck." You will know it when you see it. :)
