one time when i was gushing about this bunny in a thread, someone casually mentioned how the artist is still active and has a twitter account, and me being clueless to any of the history i went "wait WHAT"
and it was actually the guy, everything lined up, and that's what got me into the older works they made and their other obscure flash game!! their twitter hadnt been active in months at that point and i tried messaging them but i didnt get any reply, so i just left it
when their birthday happened i made a quick silly animation doubting it would go anywhere, but they actually replied remembering the character and how i dug it out of their memory!! i messaged them more and showed them my fanart and they loved it, and they even kinda gave me the rights to do whatever depending on which google translator you trust
i asked if they had any form of commissioning open, and they said they were about to set up a skeb account, which sent me on yet another rabbithole trying to figure out how in the world to get it working and led me to waste money on prepaid cards that never worked :(
but eventually i managed to get through and get one, and i love how they redesigned both of the characters!!! they also say that the official character name is idea-kun, but also that it had been so long that they don't have any of the original assets and can't remember if that actually was their official name
