I think there was a scene in the show where tickling was used as a method of interrogation on a captured Gummi, and I wonder if perhaps tickling might have been used as a method of punishment by Duke Igthorn for Gad and Zook when their incompetence led to failure.
Tad can perhaps consider himself lucky that Gad and Zook didn't think that maybe his feet were a little dirty, so they'd do some cleaning with their tongues for an even more ticklish and likely revolting experience.
