Guys. I was expecting more than that.
Don't get me wrong, it was a good mod. But 8 stages, no new bosses, no extra costumes, impossible to get a S rank, and that's it
For the positives: The voice acting, pretty good. The cutscenes, one was bugged to play the actual game cutscene but the rest were pretty good with the comic book look. The levels, Star Light Zone returning was honestly pretty cool to see. Despite only being in one stage and doesn't last long >w<;
And as for the story. It's alright. Could've had more into it, but I'll explain why
For the negatives: Star Light Zone is the only recreated zone in the entire game. The hoaming attack not working. The quick step not being responsive. And the Double Boost at the final act of the stage, wasn't responsive and had to go back to a previous check point. Ugh -_-
Also there's a bonus episode where you play as Metal Sonic. Cool! But it only has one act. Shadow had three acts but Metal has one? What is this, Enter the Dragonfly's hub world?
What to improve this beloved mod? Simple
More custom gear and clothing for your avatar, having bosses that we literally lacked (and I thought Chaos not having a boss fight was weird), more characters like Mephiles appearing as a illusion (to trick players thinking he actually returned), and maybe a Super Sonic (plus avatar) boss fight. Originally Forces was going to have a Super Sonic fight, but there was some issues and is why it became a free DLC
I'm just gonna say it right now. I'm glad that I got Sonic Forces on a discount for 10 dollars. Just to play a mod that lasts for an hour. Spending 40 bucks is sadly not worth it. Definitely a dumb idea to have mods locked away when you have a pirated copy of Forces T_T
Overall, Sonic Forces Overclocked gets a 6/10
(I might draw Infinite later. Just for fun)
