Rough sketches for a reason.

For the love of God. Please be gentle with me. The last time I drew ANYTHING mecha was 2003.

But hey! This is something completely different than TMNT, right?

ANYWAY, I recently got into Generation 1 Transformers and I did rough sketches of Prime as practice and for fun. I would try and doodle him as I watched episodes on TV, actually and plus I looked at figures. Or sometimes did things by memory.

I'll explain each one.

1. The Acoustics Prime - This was actually my very first time drawing him. I went a bit nuts. My brother gave me the idea of Optimus playing an acoustic guitar and I thought it was a great idea. So yeah.

2. The one next to it up top - thoughtful Prime. Nothing great about it. But I enjoyed drawing it.

3. Next to that - Episode 31 quote used when he plays basketball with other Autobots. I did it chibi/sd. xD

4. "AW WTF?!" - XDD I was actually practicing expressions. -shrugs- You know how hard it is to draw expressions when a figure doesn't have a mouth?!

5. Just another b-ball doodle of Prime being SD. Basketball is serious business.

6. Disgruntled Optimus - From Ep 36 - I don't know why, but when he sits down like that and that thud occurs - I just crack up so bad.

7. Nightcap! - I had a funny thought that if robots actually did sleep, Optimus would be the only one wearing a nightcap. So there he is waking up all groggy.

8. !:heart: - Yeah. I know. Robots don't blush. ...I found it funny though. So I decided to keep it in the sketch dump. My money's on he's looking at Elita-One. :giggle:

So yeah. That's all of my doodles so far. Nothing perfect obvious, but nice concept/practice nonetheless. I'll do other characters as well sometime.

Hmm... I wonder if I should color any of these...
