Madoka
He felt repressed.
Letting his resentment boil underneath the surface for as long as he could muster. It's been building since childhood and no longer can he hide his growing anguish against his predicament's given to him at birth. He felt like an outcast, ill perfected, denied of his true potential. If only things were different for him at the start of his life could he feel at ease. But it couldn't be changed, he was a pup born from a broken family.
Yeah, his father and mother were in his life. But he felt that he was robbed of an opportunity of a perfect family. Unlike other happy pups, his parents weren't a couple. They never spent time near each other, almost like they couldn't stand the sight of one another. This bothered him greatly. He felt that this was the cause of his distraught.
He needed to leave.
He needed to find his purpose and it wasn't here.
Without a second thought, he sat up and began to trot along the forest edge near the vast, blue water. Unaware that his mother was following behind him until she called out-
Kiyomi
"MADOKA!?"
"Where are you going, son?"
Madoka wasn't the one to lash out or spill his feelings, well at least to her. But she could feel something brewing under the surface. Waiting to puncture the thin layer that held it in. She was worried about her son. Just like any other mother would be if their offspring has been acting this way.
He spent more time away from the den, but that was normal she guessed with the growing of age. He wouldn't stay a small pup forever. She had to eventually let him go off on his own.
But why now?
Everything was fine according to her eyes. There was no reason to leave so suddenly.
Did he run off consistently as a pup, yes. But he would never run far. He could always be found bathing in the sunlight by the waterfall. She just assumed he liked the sound it produced, or the serenity of the area. She never thought to question if something was meddling under the surface. Maybe that's where she messed up. She never thought to ask him what was on his mind. Or why he always seeked to be far away from his siblings and packmates. It just never occurred to her.
But now she can feel it, something was wrong and she would find out why.
