It was bright and hot, the usual for mid-summer in the area. You could hear the waves crashing and the seagulls cawing. It’s a beautiful scene honestly. One that Kiyomi was walking as to her usual route along the bank ends. Her paws leaving indents into the sand only to wash away from a wave. Kiyomi heard it was the time for the green sea turtles to make their appearance amongst the banks to lay their future offspring. As a lover for anything to do with the sea, Kiyomi was ecstatic to see the occasion. She was careful amongst her trot to not disturb any possible sand nest. Along her journey she happened upon an old sea turtle, who was eager to greet her and tell her about the wonderful and legendary stories she has come across. Kiyomi was of course eager to hear the stories from the old turtle and sat down in front of her, under the shade of a palm tree. The old sea turtle spoke of many stories of her travels and her extensive life span. One even tale even caught Kiyomi’s curiosity. But of course, Kiyomi wasn’t going to be rude and leave after this discovery. She would wait out the old turtle’s tales, you don’t know what you might learn from them. Listening ever so intently.
