Here we have the noble (and loveable) wyvrex!
"This monster has been found deep in the wooded rainforests of the New World. Don't let its soft appearance fool you! This monster can be fierce when provoked. However, lucky for our researchers in the field, they're found to be mostly docile, and mostly ignore smaller creatures who don't pose it a threat. Their behaviour is noted to appear somewhat lazy, but this is thought to be some form of compensation for their highly-active hunting and fighting style.
They are omnivorous, and while they seem to prefer a diet of mostly plants and fruits, they have been seen hunting smaller monsters on occasion as well. Wyvrex have been observed to use their sharp claws to peel off the tough shells and skins of fruits they like. Though they cannot fly outright, wyvrex can use their wings to leap and glide surprising distances.
Wyvrex feathers and furs are used in all manner of luxurious clothes and fabrics. For hunters, many wyvrex parts can be used in armour and weapons. Many appreciate the stylish look of silky wyvrex fur, combined with the protective and offensive ability of their claws and hides.
Wyvrex have been seen both cohabitating and quarrelling with a number of other monsters. Their biggest antagonists seem to be nargacugas and rathalos, whereas wyvrex have been seen coexisting with monsters such as jagras (of all sizes), and tobi-kadachis.
Attempts to approach the monster tend not to result in aggression, so much as disinterest and mild curiosity at best. Researchers have approached the wyvrex while it is resting, and have been able to touch and even 'pet' the monster with little issue. It is however recommended that non-professionals keep their distance, as the monster has been shown to be somewhat clumsy, and has nearly injured researchers by accident on multiple occasions.
Researchers note that the wyvrex is easily lured by the smell of fruits such as mangoes and pineapples, which seem to be its favourite. However, it is recommended that such fruits be hidden from the wyvrex and carefully guarded, as the wyvrex' attempts to acquire these fruits are relentless, and have resulted in significant damage to the structures with contain them.
Though wyvrex seems to be friendly and non-aggressive, it seems to be rare to find more than one at any given time. They do not appear to be social creatures, and it is unknown whether they regard others of their species with hostility or friendliness. Further study is recommended."
