Cool, looks like an old 60's vintage slingshot dragster. Got a small block in it too. The main difference between the new dragsters and this setup is the engine location. The slingshot is a front engine dragster as you see here, the new or newer ones have the engine in the back. The main reason is because of safety. The slingshot is a somewhat difficult car to drive plus if you should be unlucky enough to suffer an engine explosion all the parts and shrapnel blows back toward the driver. Also another reason is the driver has to sit on top of the rear end which is another danger area. As far as linkage goes, dog-14 is correct the linkage has changed to accommodate the newer engine location. Ether are fun to watch though the sling shot has traction issues and will about totally blow the tires off during a race (burn out all the way down the track), while the more modern dragsters just flat out book it lol. From what I understand the top fuel equivalent of the sling shot is the AAA fuel dragster. All of the modern Top Fuel dragsters are Rear engined. And btw nice pic
