Ryan always loved to be state of the art with technology, so of course he got himself some ear pods at young age already.
But his fennec ears are just too huge for them, so he regularly needed to visit the doctor to get them out again.
Eventually he followed the doctors recommendation and got himself a wired set.

Yes and no. He only rarely uses any. And if he does he makes sure they have like a string attached, so he can pull them out easier ^^
As a kid his parents put earplugs in whenever he was taking a shower. But as he grew older he figured out how to take one, without having gallons of water ending up in his ears.
