A redraw of this old piece from the old choose your own adventure story I did over a decade ago.

You know a while back I did a big purge of my old deviantart gallery of all the stuff that "didn't make the cut", and although that whole account is gone now (another hasty decision from their data scraping policy at the time, combined with the whole "didn't make the cut" mindset since I hadn't uploaded there for years) I really do regret getting rid of all of that. Someone managed to snag a good chunk of what I had uploaded there, but some of it is just... gone forever. I don't even have a lot of the original paper drawings. All the comments and messages are gone too, which sucks. Even some stuff from here secretly linked to my old DA stash.

It really is nice to have all that old stuff still around and see how much I've improved over the years, even when looking back on it I cringe at all the mistakes and the... interesting writing decisions. I guess it makes sense given how young I was. Too young honestly, though I was reclusive enough and didn't interact with people enough for anyone to figure me out. Though I'm oldschool enough to have the old rule of "never tell anyone online anything about yourself whatsoever" solidly banged into my head, which probably helped keep me under the radar.

Things really have changed, I've gotten a lot more active in the community, got to talk to some of the people I really look up to still to this day, honestly drawn a crazy amount of pictures now that I think about it. Hell, I released a few games, something I don't think I ever would have done otherwise. I am truly grateful for everyone I've gotten to become friends with and talk to over the years.

Geez, I didn't intend to write this much when I started, guess I got carried away with nostalgia. Here's to writing another long-winded ramble another decade from now!
