This is an awesome thing at the California Academy of Sciences. Basically, it's a huge plastic sphere with a rainforest habitat inside of it, showing all of the layers of it from top to bottom, including taking you under the flooded forest to show you the fish that live there. The roof above is is part of the building's temperature control: computer-controlled windows built into the ceiling that open up to allow the right about of light and air circulation in. There's a lot more to this building, including how the entire roof is a carefully designed living roof covered in plants that help keep the temperature inside even. Seriously, if you're ever in San Francisco, take a day trip to the California Academy of Sciences. It's an awesome trip to a very cool building in a very nice park.
