This one is special to me. All my doodles are, but still. I enjoyed making this one.
So ever since 2022, Opal officially became a package deal. Not only is she still an actress, but a mother as well!
It started when I made a lil scribble some time ago, of her providing acting lessons to youngsters for their junior plays, particularly a lil Riolu boy watching in amazement towards the bun.
The lil guy stuck with me so I decided to make him a lil character of his own, a former-orphan named Blu.
So prior to Blu, Opal would've gotten lost in the spoils of stardom, which was to be expected for celebrities (zing). However, she soon got into a career slump, not getting much roles and not appearing so much on the screen. Some considered this a relief, as some acquaintances weren't keen on the spoiled Lopunny.
During her little acting hiatus, Opal was asked by a school to teach some young Poke's about the stage. She wasn't busy anymore at this point, so why not? She taught the kids, gave them pointers, helped them with their silly musical numbers. It wasn't much, but it killed time. One Pokemon that got Opal's attention was a shy kid, being Blu. He seemed admire Opal aplenty, but wasn't much for words. She would spend time with Blu the most since he tends to hang out after school. Admittedly, Opal herself grew very fond of the kid.
Days pass, Opal keeps mentoring, and befriending the Riolu more and more. The bun couldn't help but feel envious that Blu's parents would have such a sweet, aspiring kid, but was heartbroken to learn that Blu was actually orphaned. Blu wasn't keen to hang out at the orphanage, hence why he'd spend time after school. Not wanting Blu to be alone, Opal takes it upon herself to adopt him, much to Blu's delight.
In an odd turn of events, Opal's career started to take an upturn. Because of her hiatus, Opal was pretty much more affordable for smaller, independent film projects, which she needed so she can support her new kid. She slowly got more roles again, gaining back her status. Because of this, Opal jokingly considers Blu her good-luck charm. However, once the cameras stopped rolling, Opal never wastes a second to rush to her son and dot and smother him as she always has.
