Their relationship wasn't exactly normal by any standards.
It didn't get off to the best of starts either. Seque was new to the world in which he woke up in. His legend had passed down through the generations, almost becoming something bigger than him. When he was revived, the Husky was a rarity and in Mary-Rose's eyes, a delicacy. She wanted to eat him. Feel him digest in her guts... She had to have him and she did... For a while.
The two entered a relationship for several months until Seque discovered the truth about what the devious Hippo was really after. She wanted to conceive a child with him and then as tradition in her family, eat the father. That didn't sit too well with the Husky and he broke it off, with Mary-Rose swearing to have him again one day. Since then, the two have started what they refer to as the "game". A sort of back-and-forth daring game, where the two lightly flirt, both knowing where it would head if it got serious.
Mary-Rose used her charms to try and sway the Husky into entering a relationship with her once again, but each time he managed to avoid taking the plunge. There were rare moments when the two got a little more intimate however. Seque's job often meant he would cross paths with the Hippo and sometimes she caught him by surprise.
"H-hey! What are you...?"
"Shh... don't you want to be my late valentine Seque?"
"You're impossible to deal with sometimes..."

Yep! First official artwork of Seque and Mary-Rose. Their relationship is very complicated (who's isn't?) but somehow they do work quite well. If Mary-Rose wasn't trying to eat the Husky I think they might stand a chance.
