PREVIEW: The Wolves of Kirkney, Chapter 7
The next part of my latest project, to be shown exclusively on Big Stories
The Wolves of Kirkney is a new novel I'm currently writing, which will be published by Blackwarren Books, which I work for as a contracted Editor. It is due to be published by Halloween 2024, but if you enjoy hot werewolves, murder mysteries, Victorian nobility, snarky vampires, and fantasy action, then I'd love it if you kept your eyes out for this one. The rough draft's first chapters are available for viewing on Patreon for our $5 and $10 patrons, and I'll be uploading new chapters each month. Thank you for giving this a look over, and I hope you'll enjoy this particular story I have to share!
Charlotte's heart was pounding in her chest as she moved faster and faster through the corridors towards the nursery, Duncan and Samuel trailing her. Her nose twitched, a new, dreaded scent making her eyes water. It was only growing stronger as she reached the corridor where the nursery was located. Desperately clawing the door knob, she threw it open, and her heart froze.
She saw the figure of a tall, gaunt creature, eyes glowing red in the dim light. He was cradling a sleeping James in one arm, and holding a knife above her child's chest. Charlotte's reaction was instantaneous. With a primal roar, she tore off her amulet, leaping for the vampire.
"Get away from my son!"
