FINALLY FINISHED WITH IT AND I CANNOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE RESULT! =D
This piece was originally a badge but, I am changing the classification to half page colored sketch.
sorry it took so long man, as you can see the wait was totally worth it. =D
anyway, so what he's doing is sitting on the veranda [porch-like walkway] and playing with a sparkler while the Kayari-buta [pig shaped] incense burner keeps the mosquitoes away.

half sheet white cardstock [originally 8x10]
prismacolor colored pencils
copic markers
Micron and Pigma Sensei pens
LOTS of time and a few references.

Well you can tell him to look for the little child-like looking object [me lol] with three real silver fox tails, ears[possibly] and either a red or blue happi coat on, I'll be in the alley from start up till close i think all three days. i'll have a sign with my name on it Kuroi or xkuroi_reix or Rei... variation of that. ^_^

It took a while to finish this one due to differing circumstances and school, but I am really happy with how it came out, and so was the receiver of this piece, so it was totally worth the wait.
Markers actually are not that difficult to use, and when you have enough tones to make nice shades it totally helps a lot [greys as well]. =D I kinda want to print off a blank of this and use ink to experiment, since I'm becoming quite practiced with that medium as well. =3
