its "solidly" smaller than it looks, the hair adds so much to the size and makes it look HUGE, but its suprizingly not all that heavy and is comfy to wear.
but it is still quite big (like 1/3 your body size) and the inflatable idea with the tail failed so you may want to get one of them vacume space bag thingies for taking it home (I do hope to get this to you while in the states so you can take it home vs have it go through nearly a month of shipping to get it to Australlia, it may be cheaper too as luggage vs mail)
OR, if you are up to it, I can send it minus the stuffing, you'd have to refill it and sew a slit on the underside closed, but this may be the best route as it would cut the luggage/box size by half (had I thought of this sooner I could have installed a zipper but at this point there is no way I can get the tail insideout even when/if I make the slit to remove the stuffing)
anywho finishing touches to be sure its all nice and durable, and the feet bottoms are all that remians, after that I need good weather for a video and it will be done.

haha yeah I figured the fur would add a lot of size :D I really love the fur on the top, it looks super long and flowy! It really does work perfectly for the tail. I keep coming back n looking at the body fur - its actually pretty much exactly what I had in mind haha sort of grey-brown and mottled.
I'll have to email you about getting it back, it looks like it might end up being posted anyway D: Visa interview is on the 18th, but tbh, I'm pretty worried about it. I can email you about that soon, I've worked out a way of making the postage easier at least - but with the stuffing, thats cool if I end up sewing the slit on the underside closed :D will help a lot for moving it around if it ends up being posted or comes back with me anyway :3

...great now I am wondering if the Sacramento zoo has giant anteaters and if they'd let us in XD
I have not been there in like 15 years...I know the Folsom zoo does not have any, they are a sanctuary zoo and have mostly wolves, monkies, bears and other exotic things people failed to keep as pets...pet anteaters are not all that common, lol

America has epic zoo's, my local zoo isn't that great, its pretty small and doesn't have the room to expand but we do have a pretty huge open range zoo too :D its massive and the lion's area alone is slightly bigger than the whole zoo xD Best zoo I've ever been to though was Singapore zoo :3 but next time I'm in the US I want to go to more zoo's too x3

arranging with the zoo is a bit more fuss than i'd like atm, at least when it comes to having it hold off the debut to do such a video first...and after the fuss I went through last year trying to get approval to take the otter to monterey bay aquarium (and was denied in the end) I am like "ugh" ...
ANYWAY the costume is done and we TRIED to film it today but my sis was gone all day and so I had to wait till she got back close to dark, and then right as I we got out into the yard and began recording it began to rain!!!! We tried to keep going but within a minute it went from drizzle to downpour and things got real wet real fast and I ended up with shaky video with humorous commentary worthy of only a blooper video X3 and I had to dry your suit afterwards *facepalm.
*fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow so I can show this to you and the world

Ouch, yeah fair enough! I imagine it would be kinda annoying getting permission to come into a place like that come to think of it, ahhwell! Haha
Shame about the weather xD ahhwell at least you got a bit of a look at it in motion :3 poor wet anteater though xD must have been pretty funny, hopefully the weather tomorrow is good :D getting so excited now!
