I took the protogen pill and decided I liked that "Serious Svelte Protogen" enough to name, make a study of, and expand upon him as a character.
Meet "Pointer", a gun-for-hire drawn into the political intrigue of planet Earth.
I experimented with a few techniques and tools here, such as metal reflectance, big contrasts (left; I think the heaviest pencil used was 4B), and implying small details (rifle and transition of fur to none on the right figure's feet). I botched the left figure's pose, but hey, it was fun doing it.
If my left eye cooperates with me in the coming weeks, I'd love to draw little vignettes in his life among human soldiers in conflict!
