Under Amnyst's Shadow
A stunning, breathtaking picture of Amnyst the Zoroark asked by one of her biggest supporters, 
VDOPlus! She is largely the character she is today thanks to his input over the years.
She can be or cause most any fantasy you desire to be a vivid experience for tiny mortals to have. >w> In this case, she took on a beefy, muscular form with huge paws to please the eyes of VDO~
This was a delight to do with all the visual lighting effects. And of course I had to do a space dress for her~ Which yes, is made with actual cosmic elements! =w=
This was originally a Patreon doodle request of his that went on to win a sketch refinement poll but was later defeated in a “to completion” poll. It is perfectly fine for Patrons to ask for their requests to be formally completed as regular commissions! There is the added bonus of the comm route where the sketch could be further refined to include other characters I normally wouldn’t allow in Patreon requests.
Done as a sketch on paper, scanned in, and painted in Photoshop CS5.

Not really into muscle stuff, I don't hate it but it looks strange. Everyone has their own preferences though and I'm not going to knock anybody for liking this.
As for the image itself, you put yes another spin on a dusk background which shows the light coming in from the side. Not sure which angles you would have to be out for it to do that but her illusion powers would help us smooth over the cracks.
The city and the the countryside around it looks so small and clean and also surprisingly vibrant compared to the rest of the image. I can't tell what the haze in front of Amnyst is but if I had to guess it's probably clouds.
I like the detail that one can see her hair in the background as well as her tail in a slightly more subtle spot, it shows the things that you include as well as the way you can show different layers of proximity to the image.
I always love inhabited clothing as well and although the muscle and her proportions make that dress look a bit odd it's otherwise no exception. I wonder how much space that actually is on there? A super cluster, a local world, something else entirely? Ohh i can say is i hope it has a backside.

It might not help I don't really know how to do strong characters properly. I usually just make something up and hope it looks believable. >.>'
Oh yes, the clouds are intended to just just enough to catch the sun rays going in front of her. And that is generally how sun rays work from my understanding. Its like reflected on some sort of a particle in the air like dust or water.

Using a character who has access to reality warping level illusions helps extend the suspension of disbelief. It doesn't look believable to me but it's probably not meant to in universe as well.
Thank you for reminding me of how that works, if I recall correctly an extreme example of that reflection is how one gets rainbows as well as the Rayleigh scattering that gives the sky it's colour.

Knowing her, she knows and simply isn't telling. Or if it is inhabited it's probably by her favorite mortals and whichever character she's playing with at any given time.
I don't know where else to say this, but I'm surprised you haven't made a character out of Arceus yet. I'm guessing some Pokémon designs like Arceus and the creation trio are just too complicated to work with easily or at least a difficult to put into a domain?
If you ever did do an Arceus character I could see her as some sort of enforcer to make sure the laws of physics all stay in place. Or maybe the equivalent of a quality assurance tester on the laws themselves. Then again, one of the other things that Arceus does is that it has access to all the types at least in law so maybe her domain would be controlling how those types work?

I think the closest I have to an Arceus character is Aetherine, because she has an Arcues insignia on her boob. But beyond that, no I don't have a plan to make one. I like my "god Pokemon" better. |3

Indeed, especially with her illusion powers as well as the slightly more mundane way the dress would move with her movements. And there's probably desolations of civilizations living there, so they already have what they want.
I really think you should. You know what would be interesting though, if Arceus RTS character was mid range in terms of her role one thing I've never seen with regard to archaeus even in macro/ micro content is Arceus being a god, but not the supreme God . Arceus does govern the pokémon typing in the actual anime and I think it's theoretically capable of being any type .
Since you seem to be putting some more emphasis on Pokémon moves themselves lately, it's possible that an Arceus character could be in charge of Pokémon moves and the actual type chart. After all, someone had to create that in your universe, and Zyxera is well known for handing off duties to subordinates. Arceus still deserves a role even if it's not the one she would normally have because your characters are interesting so therefore I think you could make Arceus even more interesting than she already is ironically by limiting her duties.
