Nina is usually a troublemaker especially given her short temper, but she does have a few passions that keep her focused and calm, one of them being motor vehicles. Ever since she was a kid Nina always had an interest in cars and bikes particularly classic muscle, sports cars, and even cruiser bikes. Her mother noticed her daughter's interest and told her about how her grandfather once owned a 1973 Citroen DS 23 Pallas that is now probably sitting in an old barn near his house. She went to see for herself and indeed saw a derelict DS23, all rusted and covered in ivy, as much as she wanted to take the car she did not have the means or experience to do so. When she left France, Nina hopes to earn enough money to one day go back, bring the car and hopefully restore it to its former glory.
As you may or may not know Nina works as a mechanic at a local small-time auto repair shop. Emi, wanting to help Nina be able to pay her share of the rent having known about her interest in cars and the story behind her Grandfather's DS23, she pulled some strings to get her a job there. Although equipment and finances are limited when compared to other shops Nina did not mind it that much, she loves working on cars and bikes and is resourceful enough to make due with what she got. While the majority of cars she worked on are woefully undermaintained 20+ year-old shitboxes there are rare occasions where she got to work on more prestigious vehicles. The times that she got to work on classic muscle and sports cars are the moments she treasured the most working in the shop. In fact she'd even get lost in her work, imagining herself giving the same treatment to her grandfather's car one day.

She intends to, but that takes time and money. That’s not to mention the legal and financial hurdles she’d he to take to legally import the car and restore it. But for her, it’s worth it as the car would be both a family heirloom and a memento to her grandfather.
